Hello gents. I was talking to Hook about the clarity of the logo on the forum and our website. The discussion led to the mention of possibly having another
contest for an updated logo. I like the idea as it could go well with our 10th Anniversary celberation/revamping. What do you all think?

I thought it might be a good idea to see how everyone felt about the great logo that has served us so well over the years. However it has been re-sized and had
its quality changed many times and is getting hard to make out what is written on it. I know that bottom says where the big boys play and the top right says
est February 1999 but I'm lost at to what the top left says. So once we decide what to do we need to think about that is needs to includes and so forth.

I can do some. No miracles, though. Mostly just editing existing Jpegs, adding text, etc.

We can submit them like we did before. Say 3 entries per person and have a vote of elimination to determine the winner.

Here is a graphic that I've saved over the years and thought I'd share it with you guys. This is the old FFWC network that I ran from Canada before moving to the UAE. It's missing two more computers but that is basically it. Of course my network here is more advanced in terms of technology and software it just doesn't have the same reliability of the old network. I must admit that the logo on the top was my favorite at the time of the old logo contest. Soon I'll come up with the criteria for the new logo contest and see if we could even come up with some sort of prise to get the creative thinking going. Of course the logo that would be creative would belong totally to the club.

Ha ha. That was the logo I actually voted for in the contest. Seems we had a couple of rounds of voting to narrow it down if I remember correctly.

I need to measure the current size of the space in the table and compare it the one on our web site for the exact size then figure out the wording. Sapper did
a great job with the logo we are using now but as time went so did the clarity.

I think the issue was that the game is Panzer General, not Fighter Pilot, or similar. I'm not sure if this is the time or place, but my vote is for a land
combat image, preferrably with a nice tank in it (German ones always seem more popular).

I'' post the images for voting like before once we nail down the size and content to put on it. Then we all can vote and go from there. I think we had
a mutliple vote last time where you could pick 3 and it helped eliminate the not so popular. I think also we had over 50 entries and we had to limit the amount
a guy could send in as some guys could produce 100's of them in a short period of time.

I just based the size of the logo on the size of the whole. It is slightly larger than the old one. Not sure what you mean by the last part.

Right I get you now. We can send in multiple versions of the logo in. Perhaps we need to limit the entries to no more than 10 per person. When we close the
contest we need to arrange them so they are numbered and we each can select the top 3 logo's we like. Since one or two logo's will be more popular than
some of the others they will get voted upon in the next round so we can weed out the ones no one likes quicker. That sort of thing.

The Forum only has a certain sized hole where a logo can go... The main web site the size isn't a problem. However, at this location http://www.ffwcpg2.org/logo/logo.htm i have started a web page with the size of the logo with the previous one
displayed. So you can email me a logo and I'll uploaded it to this page and when we decide to give warning that the contest will end we will give lots of
time for the laggers to make one if they so desire and I'll post it as well before the voting begins.
